Mireille Pasquer - Enrollment & Parent Specialist
Mireille was born and raised in Colorado and spent a lot of time in the Rocky Mountains, camping, skiing, fishing and panning for gold!
Her parents owned and operated a bilingual school, (French and English), in Denver, so Mireille spoke French at home and in school. As a teenager, she was sent to school in France. There, she learned very quickly that diversity, cultural awareness and communication were key to understanding the world and its humanity.
Her love of language led her to study Spanish in college and she traveled extensively in Mexico and South America. In the early 90’s, she received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Monterey Peninsula College in California. There, she worked in childcare settings, emergency centers and Montessori schools as well as being in charge of enrollment and organization of several summer camps in Carmel Valley.
Traveling was, and still is a life motivator for Mireille, so in the late 90’s, Mireille set off to explore the Himalayas, trekking over three hundred miles with a pack on her back, reaching the source of the Ganges, as well as rafting over 200 miles on the Sun Kosi river in Nepal. There she developed a love for Indian food which has become a staple of her diet, even today!
After the Himalayas, the Alps called to her, so Mireille moved to Switzerland, where she married, raised children and worked as an early childhood educator and art curriculum designer for over 15 years. Of course skiing, trekking, camping and mushroom hunting were her usual hobbies, but she was lucky enough to live on the lake of Geneva, where she developed a passion for sailing. A sweet water sailor! Always curious, Mireille also trained in Kundalini yoga in France and received her teaching certificate in 2011. She has worked as a yoga teacher and translator for American and French yogis.
In 2014, Mireille chose to return to Colorado to pursue her education. She received a Bachelors in Sociology in 2017 from Metropolitan State University, with an emphasis on social action through art and children’s museum experiences.
Mireille is very happy to join the Ajax Cubs team, sharing her knowledge and growing with a school whose focus is child and nature based.
